
Chef Amanda's love for cooking began at a young age. She began her professional training at the Academy of Culinary Arts in Mays Landing, NJ. After her first year, she decided to take a semester and complete the chef’s training program at the Natural Gourmet Cookery School in New York City, a professional chef's training program that focuses on vegan/vegetarian cooking. She went back to New Jersey to finish her Associates in Applied Culinary Science (A.A.S) at the Academy. Amanda graduated with a silver medal. She is currently the Noogieland Chef for Gilda’s Club, South Jersey. She has also taught nutrition workshops in Atlantic City to mothers who are on government assistance (T.I.P.S. Program) and has done work with the Atlantic County Women’s Center. In addition, sh e does cooking segments on a regular basis on a television show called Daily Connections, and will also be featured on Ed Hitzel’s radio show offering culinary tips. In 2008, She was named in AC Weekly's Top 40 Under 40. She is a member of the American Personal Chef Association, has adopted their Code of Ethics, and is a member of the American Culinary Federation. Amanda is ServSafe certified. She was also featured in the January 2005 issue of Atlanta Homes and Lifestyles Magazine.
